1986 Porsche 944 NA Automatic

I love this car, but I was told to get it out of the garage before it snows, or else!

Early this year the transmission went out and would not shift out of low gear.  I tried flushing the fluid and changing the filter but that did not help (I found some metal shavings in the filter and fluid).  So I got a complete reseal kit and was going to take it apart to see if something could be replaced or if I could get a refurbished or used tranny for it.  But I was not able to get it completely off, I don't have the tools/skills to reach the bracket that is on top of the tranny below the gas tank to get those 2 bolts off.  Everything else is disconnected but those bolts, so it should be easy for somebody who knows what they are doing to get it off and replaced.

This will make an excellent parts car or daily driver for someone that can fix the transmission.

The engine runs good and I had the the timing belt and front engine seals replaced at 65,000 when I first bought it.
It has brand new rear tires (about 100 miles on them) and the front tires still have many miles on them.

There is a small dimple on the hood and a small crease on the drivers side next to the light.  The passenger light is also displaced just a little but enough that the plastic cover does not connect correctly.
The sunroof works but needs adjusting.
The drivers seat has the normal worn out spots and has rips that are taped at the seams to prevent further ripping.  The passenger and rear seats are in perfect condition.
The bracket that attaches the power steering unit to the engine is broken so it is not connected and also needs the adjusting bar belt.
The speedometer and cruise control stopped working first so I replaced the speed sensor then the speedometer, but that only worked until the transmission went out, so I think they will work when the transmission is fixed (I have the old parts still).
Power seat plastic switch is broken, but all motors work and can be fixed with new plastic piece.

I have the Haynes manual and can put the shop manuals on CD to include with the car if needed.
More pictures and information can be supplied as requested.
